Starting September 5, GREAN owner Kip Aszman will be presenting to area realtors on the Portland Home Energy Score program enacted by the City of Portland and going into effect January 1, 2018.The ordinance applies to most single-family home or town homes sold within Portland city limits. It requires that each home get a Home Energy Score before it is listed and that the score is made available on RMLS and to potential buyers.GREAN will serve realtors and home sellers by scheduling a home energy score assessment. One of its CCB licensed Home Energy Score authorized assessors will inspect and score each home. GREAN will provide the report to listing Agents. GREAN reports are based on the USDOE rating protocol and verified by earthadvantage, the City of Portland's Home Energy Score partner.  Each report can be uploaded to RMLS by the listing agent and accessed by potential buyers. GREAN is providing training on the Portland Home Energy Score program to all area realtors and title companies as part of their continuing education or professional development programs.
